Missions

 

Jesus commanded: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” This is the mission statement for the entire church! It is really simple: Go, Do, Replicate. To be honest, the church as whole seems to be struggling with this, us included. However, knowing this, Northwest is trying hard to educate ourselves about missions and the importance of being on mission. We are seeing our people beginning to really be excited about being on mission.

 

We are hoping to go on long and short range mission trips. We are hoping to partner with other missions and missionaries so we can support them in various ways. This might be through prayer, funding, or our presence.

We are currently involved with Baptist Children’s Homes in Thomasville and several group homes in our area. We also support Samaritans Purse with shoe boxes at Christmas.

 

These are just a few areas we are currently involved with, but we are always looking to expand our area of influence to preach the gospel.
